Foresail-1 is a mission for Sustainable Space hosting two particle telescopes from University of Turku. TIERS works on radiation-resistant hardware design and fault-tolerant software for a robust operation of the satellite.
2019 - AutoSOS
Autonomous Drones Supporting Maritime Search and Rescue. TIERS works in multi-UAV systems and active perception algorithms for efficient area coverage and reliable lightweight deep learning at the edge.
2020 - RoboMesh
Beyond 5G Distributed Ledger Technology driven Mesh for Industrial Robot Collaboration. TIERS works towards mesh-based edge analytics for trustable collaboration within multi-robot systems in industrial settings.
2021 - R3Swarms
Robust, Resilient and Reconfigurable Swarms of Heterogeneous Robots. TIERS works on UWB-aided mesh networking and localization, DLT-based identity management and collaborative decision making, DL-powered situational awareness and a multi-tier cloud-fog-edge autonomy stack.
